It's all treats this Halloween with Yamaro's gorgeous and creative rendition of C.C. from Code Geass! In it, Yamaro seamlessly transforms an innocent Alice in Wonderland into a tantalizing vampiric beauty. The vectoring details are simply haunting in their craftsmanship, delicately decorating everything from the ruffles and fabrics of the dress to the eerily disappearing tiled floor and tiny spider shadows. Don't miss seeing this one in full!
Absolutely lovely details, interesting textures, and a lively color palette that doesn't feel artificial. While the left-hand side was extended very smoothly, it lacks any of the visual interest and excitement of the right-hand side. The rosetree's bough is straight without and branches, and the bunches of roses are uniformly lined up without any empty patches or interesting protrusions into negative space. Her dress, which is very active in the right-hand side of the picture, just lies flat along the bottom on the left. While this is one of the best examples of the technical aspects of extending a narrow scan into a fullscreen wall, it lacks the artistic ambition and boldness of making this wallpaper take on a life of its own, rather than just being an extended version of the original.
Wow, it's been a while I didn't get a good constructive criticism~ thank you~ :D I agree with everything you said. The bush does look plain and straight, and I basically just stretched, that's exactly how it happened. But I was tired after a long time and couldn't think on any exciting things~ plus, I have a lot of icons, so plain negative space could be useful for storing them without the feel of wasting wallpaper beauty, covering it~ lol~ xDDD
Thanks for the compliments, and for your comment~ :D See you!~

thanks for the feedback on my Two wallpapers. I would disagree on one comment though, Positive and Negative space reflect off of eachother in certain situations. The lack of an object can be just as important of the object it self, if that makes sense hehe. Otherwise thanks :)

Hmm... well, dunno if you didn't like the font used or the text in general, but I made a textless version of the Totoro wall ^^ http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5730/simpledriftnotxt0bm.jpg
The colors are a rarely used, yet gorgeous, combination of pastels. The tree, the girl, the petals, all of these are wonderfully done. The sunbeams are a little cheesy and fake-looking (not to mention, you need one heck of a cloud formation to create those!), and the clouds are a bit too uniform. Also, why did you put "a carnelian wallpaper" on it? It's distracting and unnecessary. However, I can't wait to put this wall on my desktop come spring!
:) I made the sunbeams and clouds to match the sunbeams and clouds on the scans. :p But then this is anime and we're not looking for realisic factors huh. x) Thanks for the kind comment. Ill see what I can do about the text. ^^

thank you for helping me out with my wall paper! could you help me again? because i don't exactly understand what you mean about the "quality of the scan" TTmTT i'm REALLY new to this! i agree with everything you said and you really know what you are talking about, i just don't understand why the wall isn't a good resolution . i got the scan from anime paper. so how can i tell next time when something is wrong with it?

Hehe, thanx for the comment on my Springtime wall. Glad you liked it, though I did do the beams less transparent to have a glowy sunshiney (so not a word) effect ^__^!

Thanks for the comment on Winter Grace. Though I'm not particularly sure what you meant by "poorly shrunk down foreground"? I didn't do the extraction, I tried to improve quality but it didn't work very well. Nothing was shrunken down either, that's how it came. But eh, thanks again.
